Spirit of the Goddess: On Beauty, Boundaries, and Being Enough

Allow me to share the joy these photos brought me as I live authentically as a transwoman. I am continually learning and unlearning many things while navigating this world through a patriarchal lens of beauty and the concept of thriving.

On Beauty
I constantly affirm to myself that I am beautiful and enough. I recognize that I am a woman who loves herself enough to establish boundaries and silence the noise that disturbs my peace. My body, even without any surgeries yet, is woman enough. My spirit is woman and of the Goddess.

On Thriving
In a world marked by systemic oppression, I recognize how challenging it can be to break free from a victim mindset. Every day, we are affected by the negative consequences of poor leadership and inadequate policies. Thriving means not only ensuring your own well-being but also helping those around you to thrive. It involves creating a long and sturdy table, inviting more queer and trans individuals to enjoy all that we deserve.
